BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Ronald McDonald House received a big boost, courtesy of a local car club.

The Mopars of Bakersfield presented a check for $27,000 Tuesday evening, to help The Ronald McDonald House.

The car club hosts a car show every year to raise money for the home away from home. This year's donation was the most money ever raised, according to Val Miller, vice president of Mopars of Bakersfield.

The Ronald McDonald House works to keep families of sick children together during treatment while providing support and resources.
