BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Gray skies didn’t stop people from hitting the links for a good cause Monday.
The Annual Sharyn Woods Memorial Golf Tournament was held Monday morning at Seven Oaks Country Club.
The tournament was started 26 years ago by 10 women who wanted help people with breast cancer.
Executive director Jennifer Henry says Links for Life Raises money to help pay for mammograms and other health services.
Forty teams competed throughout the day with the top team winning the Buck Owens first place price.
Along with the tournament, a carnival-themed gala took place. 17’s Maddie Janssen was the emcee for the event.
