Kids can get free meals at Kern County libraries this summer

Lunch at the Library is expanding this summer.

It started Thursday and continues every weekday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Through July 27.

Meals are provided through a collaboration between the California Library Association, the California Meal Coalition and the Kern County Superintendent of Schools.

Parents and caregivers can get lunch too, but for a small fee.

Beale Memorial Library
Frazier Park Branch Library
McFarland Branch Library
Southwest Branch Library
Delano Branch Library
Ridgecrest Branch Library
