KHSD officer alleges unwanted sexual advances, racial abuse in lawsuit against district

A Kern High School District Police officer alleges unlawful sexual advances by two school administrators in a lawsuit filed last week in Kern County Superior Court.

Anthony McCarthy claims a dean at one school made unwanted advances toward him and that an assistant dean at another school sexually harassed him by showing lewd photographs.

McCarthy, who is African-American, also says numerous students and other district police officers used racial slurs against him since he started working for the district in May 2016.

He also claims retaliation for reporting numerous incidents and a failure to take action.
