The process of redrawing trustee boundaries for the Kern High School District continued Monday night.
Trustees got to view maps, showing proposed new boundary lines at a public hearing session Monday.
The Dolores Huerta Foundation wants the district to create two Latino-majority districts to give minority communities stronger representation.
Those who support the changes say it’s time all high schools are equal, no matter what part of the county they’re in.
A special board meeting is scheduled for May 21 where trustees could adopt a resolution that would redraw the district’s trustee boundaries.
