California’s unemployment rate has never been as low as it was last month and Kern County saw a decline as well.
The Employment Development Department says the state’s unemployment rate fell to 4.2 percent.
Locally, Kern County’s jobless rate fell to 8.3 percent.
In April 2017, the rate was 9.9 percent.
