17’s Karen Hua spent the day trying almost every ride at the Kern County Fair.
Some classics include the Ferris wheel, bumper cars, the giant slide, and Wave Swinger.
If fast and furious is your speed, Pole Position Raceway is one of the fair’s few rollercoasters, and Vertigo is a more intense version of the swings. The zipper, which turns you upside down, is also not for the faint of heart.
White Water is the only water ride at the fair, and prepare to get very wet.
For unlimited rides, you can buy a wristband at any ticket booth. They are $35 Fridays through Sundays, and $30 on weekdays.
Individual tickets are $1 each, but rides require three to ten tickets.
For a Fast Pass to skip the lines, it’s $10.
