Three teens are dead and two are seriously injured following a single-vehicle rollover crash on Taft Highway Tuesday night.
Kern County coroner identified the three teens killed:
- Driver: Jazmin Lizbeth Ojeda Rosales, 19, Maricopa
- Passenger:Alejandro Arguello, 19, Taft
- Passenger: Fernanda Medina Olivas, 17, Taft
California Highway Patrol officers were called for a rollover crash on Taft Highway near Erro Ranch Road at around 10:45 p.m., according to CHP.
The 2001 Ford was traveling west on Taft Highway, west of Buena Vista Road, when it veered off the roadway and rolled an unknown amount of times before landing on its right side, according to CHP.
The two surviving passengers, ages 17 and 19 years old, were taken to Kern Medical with major injuries. They are listed as Taft residents, according to CHP.
It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash and CHP continues its investigation into the cause of the crash.
