KCSO shuts down illegal casino, makes multiple arrests

Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies shut down an illegal casino making several arrests Saturday night in Southeast Bakersfield.

The sheriff’s office said over the last week, it has responded to at least five illegal gambling locations.

Sheriff’s officials say they served a search warrant at an internet casino in the 2500 block of South Union Avenue where they seized 24 gambling machines and $17,000.

Deputies also found a honey oil lab inside that casino along with a large amount of packaged and unpackaged honey oil, Kern County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Stephen Wells said.

One employee was arrested for illegal gaming and five others were arrested drug-related charges.
