KCSO releases second video of alleged excessive force incident in Rosamond

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office released a second video of an arrest at a mobile home park in Rosamond where a pregnant woman says deputies used excessive force against her.

It started with a call on June 13, as deputies were called to assist an Animal Control officer with a man they say was uncooperative.

The Animal Control officer was trying to cite Eddie Sanchez for county ordinance violations.

That’s when, they say, Sanchez resisted and a struggle ensued. That’s also when Jessica Marciel and Anthony Marin jumped in to help and the sheriff’s office says Marciel assaulted a deputy.

A separate witness gave this video to the sheriff’s office, who then posted the five-minute video to their Facebook page.

All three people — Sanchez, Marciel and Marin — were arrested on various charges.

There is no word on any injuries from this incident.
