A Kern County Sheriff’s Lieutenant has confirmed the California Highway Patrol was involved in an incident that that led to an officer-involved shooting along a northbound entrance of Interstate 5 near the Tejon Outlets.
One man, the suspect, was killed. The cause of the shooting is still being investigated by KCSO.
Exit 219A, an on-ramp for northbound I-5, was closed for several hours while officers investigated. The on-ramp is now open.
