KCSO arrests five adults on suspicion of buying alcohol for minors

Five Bakersfield adults were arrested last month for purchasing alcohol for minors, deputies said.

The arrests were made as part of minor decoy operations in Bakersfield, Wasco and Buttonwillow funded by a $100,000 grant from California Alcoholic Beverage Control. The following were arrested:

  • Robert Craig, 45, on suspicion of furnishing alcohol to a minor, drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Vanessa Moreno, 23, on suspicion of furnishing alcohol to a minor.
  • Mallory Rogers, 26, on suspion of furnishing alcohol to a minor, drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Uvicelia Esquivelmuro, 46, on suspicion of furnishing alcohol to a minor.
  • Albert Varela, 30, on suspicion of furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Sheriff’s officials said in a news release it’s reminding the public that underage drinking is illegal and dangerous.
