The iconic Trout’s bar in Oildale has been sold and will be turned into a medical office, according to real estate agency that handled the property.
The bar was sold in late March, according to Alex Balfour of the Cushman and Wakefield Pacific real estate agency.
Balfour previously made headlines after filing a police report regarding the missing sign outside the bar.
The previous owner, Thomas Rockwell, said June 2, 2017 that he had taken the sign down for repairs, but the building was foreclosed on and sold at auction May 9, 2017, nearly a month before Rockwell said he planned to reopen the bar.
17 News has attempted to contact Rockwell multiple times since that conversation but has not received a response.
