Ice Cream Dream: Local 5-year-old starts ice cream company

News

It’s one sweet dream to make the world a happier place.

Charlie Dobbs, 5, is the owner of Charlie’s Original Ice Cream Company. She’s selling ice cream for one reason.

“It makes people smile and then it makes people happy,” said Charlie Dobbs.

Charlie is saving the money for college and she plans to attend USC.

“I want to be a doctor for the poor people,” Charlie said.

Charlie also plans to donate a portion of her profits to help children in need in her community, buying them clothes, shoes, Christmas presents and more.

Her business plan is pretty simple.

“I sell it to people who don’t have ice cream and they have fun,” Charlie said.

“Everyone should buy ice cream and make people smile,” Charlie said.

Charlie can bring her ice cream cart to you and is looking to book parties this summer.

The ice cream ranges in price from $1 to $2. You can find more information on Facebook.
