How to turn off FaceTime and avoid Apple’s eavesdropping bug

A newly discovered bug in iPhone’s FaceTime App lets people hear through someone else’s iPhone, even if they have’t answered the call.

The bug relies on the FaceTime group call feature that was launched last year. 

Apple has announced a fix will come this week but in the meantime experts say the best thing to do is turn off the FaceTime app by using a few steps. 

Follow the steps below on the iPhone:

1. Open settings 

2. Select FaceTime

3. Toggle the button so FaceTime is turned off
