UPDATE: Police ask for information on Larson Lane deadly stabbing

UPDATE (9/14): Police are asking for information about the stabbing death of 73-year-old Idris Halim last week in the parking lot of a post office.

Halim was known to go to the parking lot and wash windows for money, police said.

Anyone with information that may help investigators is asked to call Detective Ursery at 661-326-3871 or the Bakersfield Police Department at 661-327-7111.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) (9/7) — A man died from an apparent stab wound in south Bakersfield on Tuesday, police said.

Police were called shortly before 7 a.m. to the 3200 block of Larson Lane, where they found the man. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a Bakersfield Police Department release.

Anyone with information is asked to call the BPD at 661-327-7111.

By our count, this marks the 98th homicide in Kern County.
