Highway 99 has been deemed the deadliest highway in the country.
That distinction was made by Value Penguin using data from the National Traffic and Highway Safety Administration from 2011 through 2015.
The study says Route 99 had the most fatal collisions per 100 miles of any highway in the nation.
There were a total of 264 fatal crashes between 2011 and 2015. That averages to 62.3 fatal collisions per 100 miles.
The deadliest city was Fresno.
The second most deadly highway is Interstate 45 in Texas.
