High school students practice interview skills

Local students preparing to enter the workforce had the opportunity to learn a few tips on how to succeed.

More than 1,200 regional occupational students met with professionals for a formal mock one-on-one interview at ROC on Mount Vernon Avenue.

The Mock Interview Day provides students with praise and critiques to make improvements for future interviews. Each student spends 10 minutes with the volunteer professionals.

ROC students often report they’re hired ahead of their peers and attribute the success to career preparation, according to Kern High School District.
