The big win for Bakersfield native Kevin Harvick over the weekend means free Bloomin’ Onions at Outback Steakhouse.

Harvick completed his weekend in Atlanta by holding off Brad Keselowski Sunday in the rain-delayed NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Race. Harvick led the last 181 laps and took the checkered flag for the win.

This is his first cup series win at Atlanta since 2001. Sunday’s win locks Harvick into the playoffs for NASCAR.

Because of the win, Outback Steakhouse is offering free Bloomin’ Onions, according to their Facebook page.

Harvick also dominated Saturday in the second-tier Xfinity event, where he started fourth in the cup race and quickly proved he had the car to beat.

Harvick will race here in Bakersfield in the NASCAR West Series race march 15 at Kern County Raceway Park.
