The grand opening of the student advising and success center building opened Wednesday, Sept. 5.
The School of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Engineering at California State University, Bakersfield opened their doors to students for individual and transfer advising.
It’s a one stop shop for high quality advising from staff who know and understand the process.
Director of Public Affairs, Michael Lukens, says “What it does is really help our students navigate the university environment, know what courses they need to take, when they need to take them, so that they can be successful and graduate on time.”
The center is expected to receive more than 5,000 student visits annually.
