Golden Valley High School briefly placed on lockdown because of nearby police activity

UPDATE (4 p.m.): The lockdown at Golden Valley High School has been lifted KHSD said. The school was on lockdown for about a half hour because of nearby police activity.

Bakersfield police told 17 News, officers were investigating a report of a man possibly with a gun at an apartment complex across the street, but didn’t find anything like that at the apartment complex.

Golden Valley High School has been placed on lockdown because of nearby police activity, according to the Kern High School District.

The school was placed on lockdown at around 2:30 p.m.
