The price of gasoline is the highest it’s been in three-and-a-half years.

According to AAA, the average price of a gallon of gas nationally is $2.81.

In Bakersfield, it’s $3.58 — 60 cents higher than last year at the same time.

According to the Lundberg survey, prices have been on the rise due to higher crude oil and higher summer blend costs.

As of this past weekend, gas prices rose for the 10th week in a row.
