Garden of Innocence looking for volunteers for November ceremony

The Garden of Innocence is looking for volunteers to help the non-profit that gives abandoned babies a proper burial ceremony.

Organizers say the coroner notifies them when a baby is abandoned or unidentified. The last ceremony took place in February 2016.

About 30 to 40 volunteers are needed to donate things like Beanie Babies, poetry, or make blankets or woodshop items for the next ceremony in November.

The next ceremony is Saturday, Nov. 10 at Historic Union Cemetery at 10 a.m.
