Four arrested, 40 pounds of meth seized in Delano drug bust

More than 40 pounds of meth are off the streets of Delano this morning.

On Oct. 15, federal investigators from Homeland Security, the Drug Enforcement Agency and even California Fish and Wildlife, teamed up to help Kern County Sheriff’s deputies to bust three men near Golden State Highway and Woollomes Avenue, KCSO announced. A fourth subject was arrested in the 200 block of Road 152 in Delano, according to KCSO.

Investigators seized over 40 pounds of suspected methamphetamine other drugs including a quarter pound of cocaine, two stolen semi-auto handguns and armor-piercing ammunition.

As a result, Luis Arellano, 27, Jorge Arellano, 31, Oscar Prado, 23 and Luis Barreto, 23, were arrested on numerous felony drug charges.

The estimated street value of the narcotics seized is valued at $377,200.
