A one-time Bakersfield high school coach has been arrested on multiple sex charges after a woman said she had a relationship with him beginning when she was 14 years old.

Keith Lamont Cash Jr., now 28, was girls basketball coach at Ridgeview High School and Stockdale High School from 2011 to 2017, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

A woman came to police headquarters on Saturday and told investigators she had a sexual relationship with Cash beginning in 2011 when she was 14 years old and Cash was working at Ridgeview.

She said the relationship lasted a year.

Cash was interviewed by police and arrested.

Monday evening, Kern High School District officials said Cash had not worked for the district in the last 10 months.

Police ask anyone with information to call Detective Casey Grogan at 326-3857.
