CSUB baseball team will host their 6th annual Hot Stove Dinner next month with featured guest, Orel Hershiser, former Dodger great and current color commentator and analyst on SportsNet L.A.
The 2019 Hot Stove Dinner is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 31.
The event includes an introduction to the 2019 CSUB baseball student-athletes and coaches, dinner catered by Luigi’s, a Q&A with Hershiser, and an auction for items such as vacation getaways, autographed sports memorabilia and more.
Hershiser led the Dodgers to the World Series title in 1988, winning the World Series and NLCS MVP Awards. He was also named to the All-Star team that season, led the National League in wins, won a Gold Glove Award and earned the NL Cy Young Award.
Hershiser still holds the Major League record with 59 consecutive scoreless innings pitched and is the only player in Major League history to win both the ALCS and NLCS MVP Awards.
The event will be held in Building 2 at the Kern County Fairgrounds. All proceeds benefit CSUB Roadrunner baseball. For more information or to purchase tickets, contact Sukhvir Kaur at (661) 654-2893.
