On Tuesday, the new Family Justice Center is set to open and serve as a resource for victims of domestic abuse.
The center is run by the district attorney’s office with the goal to help victims and eventually break the cycle of domestic violence. At the center, victims can come in and get the resources they need to feel safe and move forward.
The unveiling of the center is this afternoon.
Some of the services that will be provided at the Kern County Family Justice Center include: advocacy, case management, restraining orders, counseling, legal assistance, law enforcement and prosecution, immigration assistance, safety planning, and child support services.
