Families with toxic tap water to host rally in Downtown Bakersfield

Members of the Dolores Huerta Foundation will join local families at a rally in Downtown Bakersfield Friday morning at 11 a.m.

Families with toxic tap water will hold a rally at the center of the drinking water crisis in Kern County as they push for passage of Governor Jerry Brown’s proposal to create a Safe and Affordable Drinking Water Fund, according to the foundation.

Speakers at the event include:
Dolores Huerta, Founder and President of the Dolores Huerta Foundation
Mayor Jose Gurrola, City of Arvin
Lucy Hernandez, AGUA Coalition
Jerry Tinoco, Resident of Arvin
Susana De Anda, Community Water Center

The rally will take place at 1430 Truxtun Ave #803 in Bakersfield.
