A little dog is showing everyone that having a disability doesn’t have to limit your mobility.
Her name is Noel and she’s amassed quite a following during her short time at Marley’s Mutts Dog Rescue in Tehachapi.
Zach Skow and Noel paid a visit to the KGET studios Thursday evening, where she was happily running around and visiting with everyone.
Noel was hit by a car shattering her two front legs beyond repair. A decision had to be made: either euthanize Noel or amputate both front legs.
“She’s going through a struggle and that is figuring out life on two legs, but she’s happy,” Founder of Marley’s Mutts Dog Rescue Zach Skow says.
“She wakes up every day. She’s extremely happy. She goes to bed with me every night. She’s extremely happy, so despite what everyone said about not keeping her alive because she’s not normal because she has these disabilities, I think we’ve proven that she has many more abilities than she has disabilities.”
Skow says Noel will soon receive a mobility cart to help her get around and, Skow says, Noel has a great family lined up to adopt her.
