Suspect arrested in Los Angeles County on Aug. 6, according to Bakersfield police

UPDATE (Aug. 7, 2021): Bakersfield police said Bryson Blair was arrested Friday in Los Angeles County following a pursuit.

Blair was booked into the Kern County Jail on two counts of murder in connection to a double homicide on Grassotti Court in the early morning hours of Aug. 6.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Police said a SWAT operation at a Southwest Bakersfield apartment complex was in connection to a double homicide on Friday morning.

Bakersfield police SWAT officers were called to the 2200 block of South Real Road on Friday afternoon.

A Bakersfield police spokesperson told 17 News SWAT officers were there possibly searching for the man named as a suspect in a double homicide in the 3400 block of Grassotti Court in addition to other evidence. No arrests were made Friday afternoon, Sgt. Robert Pair said.

Police identified the suspect in the killings as Bryson Lepaul Blair, 35. Police ask anyone who sees him or knows of his whereabouts to contact 911 or the department at 661-327-7111.
