Crime Watch

UPDATE (Nov. 27, 9:43 a.m.): Police described the robber as Hispanic 20 to 35 years old, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, medium build, wearing a black face covering, dark-colored shirt and blue denim pants.

Police said they had not determined if this robbery is related to a robbery that occurred at a Wells Fargo on California Avenue earlier the same day.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Bakersfield police said they are investigating a robbery at the Citibank on Oswell and Bernard streets. Police on Wednesday had swarmed the bank and roped off the area with crime scene tape.

Police said a suspect entered the bank and presented a note demanding money. The suspect then took the money and ran off, police said. Officials did not provide a full description of the suspect, but said the description is similar to the bank robbery suspect in a Wells Fargo bank robbery late Wednesday morning on California Avenue.

The incident remains under investigation.
