UPDATE: Three shot in southeast Bakersfield are expected to survive

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Three people shot Thursday morning in southeast Bakersfield suffered non life-threatening wounds, according to sheriff’s officials.

Deputies were called to a report of a shooting at about 11:19 a.m. in the 900 block of Cannon Avenue, officials said. Two men and a woman were found with gunshot wounds. One man and a woman suffered moderate to major injuries, and another man suffered minor injuries in the shooting. They were all taken to a hospital for treatment.

Sheriff’s investigators learned the shooting took place at the intersection of Cottonwood Road and Feliz Drive. Numerous shell casings were found there, officials said.

No arrests had been made, but the suspects were only described as two Black males in masks, occupying a red vehicle, similar to a Kia Soul.
