UPDATE (Aug. 23): The Creek Fire in Lake Isabella is now at 70 percent contianment.
The Kern County Fire Department said crews are working to contain the Creek Fire located on the south side of Erskine Creek near Erskine Creek Road and Pasadena Lane.
The Creek Fire is 6 acres with 50 percent containment, KCFD tweeted Thursday.

The fire started along the side of the mountain along Erskine Creek Road, but crews brought in air tankers and helicopters for water drops to stop he spread of flames.
No homes are threatened and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Erskine Canyon road two miles south of Lake Isabella Boulevard has been closed.
