A crash in East Bakersfield appears to be the cause of a power outage knocking out power for some residents.
According to CHP’s Traffic Incident Information Page, a car collided into a power pole at Edison Highway and Sterling Road just after 11 p.m. Tuesday.
CHP says a person involved in the crash suffered minor injuries.
Meanwhile, PG&E reports power is out in the area and is affecting over 1,500 customers. A PG&E map shows power is out for residents in the area east of Oswell Street and north of Edison Highway.
PG&E says power is expected to be restored by 2:15 a.m.
