Court records reveal some chilling details in the case of a man accused of killing his friend and putting his body in a trash can.
Kern County sheriff’s deputies quietly arrested Daniel Rhoads in December, only reporting his charges about three weeks later.
Court documents say Rhoads shot William Alford in October and put his body in a trash can by “folding him like a taco” then dropping him on the side of a road.
According to the documents, Rhoads said he felt worse about shooting his dog than Alford.
At last check, Alford’s body has not been found.
Rhoads pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and is due back in court in March.
