A Bakersfield boy continues to turn pine cones into profit to help the local Ronald McDonald House.
17 News first introduced to Cody Tiede two years ago.
Now 8 years old, Cody is the artist behind Cody’s Pine Cones.
With some spray paint and hot glue, Cody turns pin cones into jack-o-lanters and ghosts, Christmas trees and snowmen.
All of the money he makes goes to the Bakersfield Ronald McDonald House — a home away from home for families of pediatric or NICU patients.
On Monday, Cody presented the Ronald McDonald House another check for $1,280. That’s in addition to the more than $3,000 he’s donated in the past.
