CHP officers ticketed dozens of drivers during a speed crackdown along the Grapevine on Thursday.
Officers conducted saturation patrols along sections of Highway 99 and Interstate 5 between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
CHP in Fort Tejon said officers handed 34 tickets to drivers. A majority of the tickets were for speeding.
The most serious violation was issued to a driver going 116 mph.
Speeding is the leading cause of crashes on the Grapevine, according to CHP.
