CHP Start Smart class for prospective drivers scheduled for July 17

The California Highway Patrol is reaching out to teach safe driving techniques to prospective teen drivers and their parents through its free Start Smart program. 

The class is scheduled for Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the CHP office on at 9855 Compagnoni St. 

Parents and teenagers are invited to the two-hour class to learn “safe driving habits” and the “consequences of a poor choice behind the wheel, and tips on how to avoid a collision,” CHP said.
