CHP hopes to crackdown on speeding through the Grapevine

California Highway Patrol is making a big announcement in the Tejon Pass on Wednesday.

CHP is going to kick off a new a campaign named “Put the Brakes on Speed.”

The campaign focuses specifically on cracking down on speeding on the Grapevine and throughout the Fort Tejon area.

The Fort Tejon CHP says so far on the Grapevine in 2018, there have been 14 collisions that resulted in 15 deaths.

Local officials like Assemblyman Vince Fong and Kern County supervisors David Couch and Zach Scrivner are expected to attend the presentation at Tejon Ranch headquarters  in Lebec.
