Casa Tequila could be demolished for Centennial Corridor Project construction

The Centennial Corridor Project may claim another business in its path.

Casa Tequila at California Avenue and Easton Drive, may be in the path of the ambitious project which will connect Highways 58 and 99 to the Westside Parkway.

According to the Bakersfield City Manager memo, the Thomas Roads Improvement Project, which leads the construction, made an offer to buy the bar’s property for $2 million.

The property’s owner say only the parking lot was in the way, but the restaurant’s owners decided to sell the entire building.
