CASA graduates newest volunteers

Nearly two dozen men and women made a pledge Wednesday night, to help local children who have been abused, neglected or abandoned.

CASA or court appointed special advocates held its 79th graduation ceremony for its newest 21 volunteers.

Volunteers are appointed by a juvenile court judge to assess the current circumstances of a child, report their findings, and speak on the child’s behalf in court.
