Residents in South Bakersfield were without power for a couple hours after a car crashed into a South Bakersfield power pole.
The crash was reported around 4:40 a.m. Thursday near Planz Road and Sandra Drive, according to Bakersfield Police Department.
The crash was listed as an injury accident on the Bakersfield Traffic Hazard’s page. No word on how the passengers are doing.
Initially, 3,300 customers were without power. That number has dropped to 130 people without power as of 7:15 a.m., according to PG&E.
The power outage does not affect South High School’s summer school classes, according to a Kern High School District officer on scene.
