If your Halloween haul is too big, we have two opportunities in Bakersfield for you to dump it for a great cause.

  1. The folks at Crown Dental on White Lane will pay a dollar a pound, up to $5 per person for extra Halloween candy you don’t want. They’ll take it and donate it to Operation Gratitude, to send something sweet to our troops overseas. The candy buyback starts Nov. 1 and will continue each weekday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., through Nov. 8. Crown Dental is at 6300 White Lane, suite C.
  2. Awesome Fitness will also be collecting your sweet treats. Their ‘Day After Halloween Candy Drive’ will go to the Kern County Network for Children Dream Center. Awesome Fitness will accept candy starting Nov. 1 through Nov. 8 during normal business hours. Awesome Fitness is located at 1812 Art St.
