California City police said they have seized over three tons of marijuana plants and arrested nine people over a series of raids over the last six weeks.
California City police said it raided an 18th home used as an illegal marijuana grow operation Thursday afternoon finding hundreds of marijuana plants.
At around 4 p.m. Thursday, officers raided a home in the 9500 block of Evelyn Avenue.
Officers said they discovered hundreds of marijuana plants growing throughout a rental home. The home’s kitchen, family room and bedrooms had temporary walls and electrical lines installed according to release from the department.
The home was so damaged, police said, it will be “red tagged.”
Officials estimated $500,000 in damages to the home.
Police said no one was inside the home during the raid.
