Burglars break into Bike Arvin

Bike Arvin is back open after it was burglarized.

Friday, May 4

Bike Arvin is asking for the community’s help after its store was burglarized.

A thief broke the glass door and stole almost all of Bike Arvin scooters Thursday evening, according to Bike Arvin. They are asking the community to be on the lookout for anyone selling seven scooters.

Because of the damage to the store, Bike Arvin will be closed Friday and the bike ride Friday is also canceled. Until then, Bike Arvin could use a small amount of volunteers to clean up and fix the window.

Bike Arvin will reopen on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

If you have any information, please contact Arvin police at (661) 854-5583.

“It is unfortunate that the work to provide access to free or low cost equipment for healthy youth activities is derailed,” Jack Becker said, executive director of Bike Bakersfield and Bike Arvin. ‘

Bike Arvin says the best thing would be a great crowd at the next bike ride scheduled for Friday, May 11 at 7 p.m.
