BPD: Suspect wanted for over $15,000 in stolen merchandise

Police need help locating the man responsible for taking over $15,000 in store merchandise in South Bakersfield last month.

The Bakersfield Police Department says on Thurs. Jan. 24 at the JCPenney’s store on Ming Avenue a man entered the store and took several items without paying.

According to the police department, the total value of the loss was estimated at over $15,000.

The suspect fled the area in a early 2000s Ford F-150 gray pickup truck with black and white primer passenger doog and black rims. 

Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male, 25-35 years old with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, grey sweatshirt and blue jeans.
