BPD: Road rage led to Southwest Bakersfield shooting

Police are linking a shooting in Southwest Bakersfield to an apparent case of road rage.

It happened just before 10:30 a.m. Saturday on Panama Lane and Stine Road. 

Police say it’s unclear what exactly happened, but they believe the shooting was sparked by a road rage incident.

A person showed up shortly after at a local hospital with a gunshot wound.

No other details were available.
