The plan to move a L’Oreal distribution center to Kern County was approved by the Board of Supervisors Tuesday.

Last week, L’Oreal announced it was moving its SalonCenter distribution center from Valencia to the Tejon Ranch Commerce Center off Interstate 5 at Highway 99.

Part of the deal includes rebates and other benefits for SalonCentric, as long as the center offers at least 155 jobs and other requirements.

The County Administrative Office anticipates the L’Oreal facility will generate an additional 45 jobs.
