Biker group to host fundraiser Saturday in support of abused children

News

A biker group is hosting a fundraiser this Saturday hoping to help create safer environments for abused children.

BACA, or Bikers Against Child Abuse, is an international non-profit in support of abused children.

Bikers in the organization may be rough around the edges but they have a soft spot in their hearts for children and they say they’re ready to protect and support abused children whenever needed.

BACA is holding a poker run fundraiser Saturday, April 14. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. at Tony’s Firehouse Grill and Pizza on Highway 178.

The ride starts there at 11 a.m. and ends at Ethel’s Old Corral.

It’s $25 per rider and $5 per passenger to participate.

Next week, on 17 News at Sunrise, Tabatha Mills will share a closer look at the BACA chapter in Bakersfield introducing us to the men and women who help protect abused children in our community.
