California Highway Patrol-Merced responded to a minor-injury crash Tuesday morning that involved an overturned big rig carrying live turkeys.
The crash was was reported just before 6 a.m. Officers closed down one of the northbound lanes because turkeys were trying to cross the road, according to CHP’s Facebook.
CHP advises drivers to be cautious if driving through the area.
No word on how many turkeys were injured in the crash. The cause of the crash is under investigation, according to CHP.
